Rassie’s New Year’s message: Focus on 2023, park 2019

Rassie Erasmus has reiterated in a social media post that the Springboks have shifted their focus from 2019 to the upcoming 2023 World Cup.

Erasmus, who has been serving a ban from all rugby activity for his infamous video, has been regularly using Twitter to share light-hearted videos and messages to his followers.

Just after midnight on New Year’s Eve, the 49-year-old emphasised it was time to “park 2019 and only talk 2023” as the world-champion Springboks look to defend the title they won in Japan.

“Let’s forget 2019 and focus 100% on 2023,” Erasmus wrote.

“We appreciate all your opinions negative or positive.”
