Rassie Erasmus is reportedly eager to make a key addition to the Springbok coaching staff who will travel with the team to France for the World Cup later this year.
According to Sunday newspaper Rapport, Erasmus wants to appoint a “referee coach” to help the Springboks defend their 2019 World Cup title.

The director of rugby reportedly revealed his plans to SA Rugby during an executive council meeting last week.
It is unclear what exactly the role would entail, but it could be similar to the one done by performance coach Ruan Botha during the previous World Cup in Japan. Botha assisted the team with in-depth information on each referee before each game.
