Munster have confirmed that Springbok lock RG Snyman has stepped up his training load as he closes in on making his long-awaited return from injury.
Having missed out on the end-of-year tour to Europe following a setback in his rehab, Snyman looks set to make his return next month.
SNYMAN: It’s been a year of injury, death, flames and heartbreak
This is according to the latest update from Munster, where Snyman has plied his trade since late 2019.
In a squad update on Monday, Munster confirmed Snyman “is increasing his training load with a view to making his return in March”. It is the first time that the club has provided a set month for Snyman’s return, which will come as welcome news to the second rower, who was seen actively involved in training drills in a video shared on Munster’s social media channels

Successive cruciate ligament injuries, together with burns from a firepit accident, have limited Snyman to just four games for Munster in two years. He is yet to play for the Springboks since the 2019 World Cup.
