RG Snyman has taken a massive step forward in nearing his return to the field as Munster confirmed the Springbok lock is once again available for selection.
In their latest medical update ahead of the Vodacom United Rugby Championship match against Scarlets, Munster provided the Springboks with a timely bit of positive news.
“On the injury front, RG Snyman returned to training with the squad in recent weeks and is available for selection,” a statement from the Irish club read on Monday.
This comes after Snyman had increased his training load over the last couple of weeks and was seen actively involved in training drills in a video shared on Munster’s social media channels.
Successive cruciate ligament injuries, together with burns from a firepit accident, have limited Snyman to just four games for Munster in two years. He is yet to play for the Springboks since the 2019 World Cup.
