Janse van Rensburg was officially announced as a new signing for Japanese Division One side Canon Eagles on Tuesday morning.
According to a press release from the club, the Springbok centre will join his new team with immediate effect.
“I’m very excited to join the Yokohama Canon Eagles team, it’s a real honor for me to represent the club and its people,” Janse van Rensburg said.

The move brings an end to Janse van Rensburg’s stay at the Sharks after just one-and-a-half seasons.
The 29-year-old was a big-name signing from the Sale Sharks in 2022 and started 14 games in his first season, but has made just three starts as he has struggled for form and consistency in the 2023-24 season.
Janse van Rensburg was heavily linked with a move to Bordeaux, with reports in France suggesting that he has already signed for the Top 14 club.
