Lions centre Rohan Janse van Rensburg has been invited to represent the Barbarians against the Springboks in London on 5 November.

Janse van Rensburg has been overlooked by the Boks despite an outstanding Super Rugby season, but he could have an opportunity to prove a point in a clash that kicks off the Springboks' end-of-year tour.

It remains to be seen whether Van Rensburg is able to take up the Barbarians' offer, while Lions hooker Akker van der Merwe and Stormers flyhalf Jean-Luc du Plessis are other South Africans who have received invitations.
