Vodacom United Rugby Championship club, Cardiff, is reportedly keen to secure the services of one of South Africa’s premier backline threats in the Currie Cup.
According to a report on Wales Online, the Welsh outfit has locked on to Pumas playmaker Tinus de Beer, as they look to bolster their flyhalf options from next season.
His skills and experience make him an enticing prospect for Cardiff. However, the article highlights that the club is facing a hurdle in their pursuit of the former Junior Springbok.

The Welsh Rugby Union is reluctant to grant approval for the signing, fearing it may hinder the progress of promising Welsh flyhalves such as Luke Scully, Harri Wilde, and Dan Edwards.
De Beer, a standout performer for the Pumas during their victorious Currie Cup campaign last year, has consistently displayed top form so far in 2023. Prior to his time in Nelspruit, the 27-year-old showcased his talent with the Vodacom Bulls and Griquas.
