Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu scored a brace of tries as the DHL Stormers claimed a bonus-point win against the Lions in the opening round of the 2023-24 Vodacom URC at Ellis Park on Saturday.
The visitors scored four tries to give themselves enough of a buffer to survive a late onslaught from the Lions and come away with a thrilling 35-33 victory.

After conceding an early try to hooker PJ Botha, the Stormers got on a roll when Feinberg-Mngomezulu showed incredible skill to score the first of his two tries, before Joseph Dweba and Herschel Jantjies also dotted down to open up a 27-7 lead at the break.
While Feinberg-Mngomezulu and returning fullback Warrick Gelant combined excellently for a try just after half time, the Lions roared back through their substitutes, as Henco van Wyk, Ruan Venter and Morne van den Berg all scored tries off the bench to make it a nailbiting finish and grab a couple of losing bonus points for the hosts.
