Sbu Nkosi will get an opportunity to impress the Springbok coaching staff when he makes his first start since March in the match between the Barbarians and World XV on Sunday.
Nkosi will start on the left wing for the Steve Hansen-coached World XV against Eddie Jones’ Barbarians at Twickenham.
The Springbok’s battles with mental health now well documented, the 16-Test-cap flyer last played for the Boks in 2021 and has been left out of the first of two preparation camps in Durban in May.
He last played for the Vodacom Bulls in the Currie Cup match against DHL Western Province in March and only featured in five matches in the Vodacom United Rugby Championship.
Nkosi completes a powerful set of outside backs with Tonga internationals Charles Piutau and Israel Folau, the former Wallabies star.
Other South Africans involved in the match include former Bok scrumhalf Francois Hougaard, lock Stephan Lewies and Sharks tighthead Carlu Sadie, who will play for the Barbarians.
