Welsh side Scarlets have officially announced the signing of promising DHL Western Province loose forward Jarrod Taylor with immediate effect.
A press release from Scarlets confirmed that Taylor met up with his new teammates at Parc y Scarlets on Monday morning, having signed a contract for the remainder of the current season and beyond.
The 22-year-old made his Currie Cup debut for Western Province in 2022 and scored four tries in six starts. Taylor also represented the SA U18 team in 2019.

“Jarrod is a player who has impressed us with his performances in the Currie Cup and has an outstanding pedigree in South African schools rugby,” Scarlets coach Dwayne Peel said.
“He is an abrasive player, with and without the ball and is strong in the contact area. He will add to the young group of back-rowers we already have at the club.”
