Rondebosch scored a late converted try to claim derby glory against rivals Bishops, while Garsfontein saved their best performance for last to win the Noordvaal Cup.
A thrilling end to the schools season saw Rondebosch come from behind to beat Bishops 36-35 at the Piley Rees field on Saturday afternoon.
Rondebosch went into the break 22-20 ahead, but Bishops fired back in the second half to open up a 35-22 going into the final 10 minutes of the match.
However, the visitors finished strongly, as captain and inside centre, Matthew Malherbe, scored from a wonderful switch play in the closing stages and wing Ethan Gordon held his nerve to convert and snatch the win.
