Rondebosch scored a late converted try to claim derby glory against rivals Bishops, while Garsfontein saved their best performance for last to win the Noordvaal Cup.
A thrilling end to the schools season saw Rondebosch come from behind to beat Bishops 36-35 at the Piley Rees field on Saturday afternoon.

Rondebosch went into the break 22-20 ahead, but Bishops fired back in the second half to open up a 35-22 going into the final 10 minutes of the match.
However, the visitors finished strongly, as captain and inside centre, Matthew Malherbe, scored from a wonderful switch play in the closing stages and wing Ethan Gordon held his nerve to convert and snatch the win.

In the other southern suburbs derby, Wynberg finished the season with aplomb by claiming 36-14 victory against SACS. In the northern suburbs derby, Stellenberg beat Durbanville 21-14.
Meanwhile, up in the north of the country, Garsfontein produced a clinical performance to beat EG Jansen 41-22 to win the Noordvaal Cup final. Garsfontein went through the cup unbeaten to claim their first title since 2016.
