Hosts Kearsney College, St John’s and St Stithians all lost, as KES romped to victory on the opening day of the annual Easter Rugby Festivals across the country.
Dale College edged Kearsney 23-20 in a tightly contested opener in KZN on Thursday, and in Johannesburg, Welkom Gim stunned St John’s 28-12 on their home turf.
Also in Gauteng, Cape powerhouses Bishops thrashed St Stithians 64-3, while KES hammered Hudson Park 52-12.
Action resumes on day two of the festivals on Saturday.
