Scots change two for Irish

Scotland coach Vern Cotter has made two changes, both to the forward pack, ahead of the match against Ireland at Murrayfield on Saturday.

Adam Ashe and Ryan Grant have been promoted from the bench and will start at blindside flank and prop respectively, as Scotland go in search of their first win in this year's competition.

The only other change comes on the substitutes bench, where Tim Visser replaces Johnnie Beattie, as Scotland revert to a five-three split between backs and forwards.

'We’ve played with a huge amount of spirit and courage, are putting teams under pressure and are scoring tries, which is encouraging, but we want to go one better this Saturday against Ireland,' said Cotter following the announcement.

'Make no mistake, they are coming to Edinburgh believing they can win the title, while we will be going out there desperate to throw everything at our last Championship match to win the game and repay the support of our fans.'
