The Sharks have announced the acquisition of some heavy armour from the Pumas that is sure to give the pack more stopping power next season.
IG Prinsloo will join the Durbanites ahead of the 2023-24 campaign from the reigning Currie Cup champions, having featured prominently in their title defence this year.
At 1.91m and 139kgs, the 26-year-old tighthead prop is a big rig of similar dimensions to former Sharks skipper and Springbok anchor Thomas ‘The Tank’ du Toit who is set to join Bath in the English Premiership after the World Cup.

Prinsloo, who also played for the Blue Bulls, will arrive at the Shark Tank with experience of European rugby after representing the Kings in the 2019-20 Pro14.
He is the latest signing by the Sharks following the news that flyhalf Siya Masuku, centre Diego Appollis and No 8 George Cronje will call Kings Park home from July.
