• Sharks kit ‘culturally inspired’

    The Sharks have unveiled their home and away kit for the 2016 Vodacom Super Rugby season.

    The design of the jerseys is culturally inspired and aims to represent the five pillars of the Sharks brand: innovation, courage, passion, unity and perseverance.

    Commenting on the launch of the new jersey, Sharks CEO John Smit said: 'We have always prided ourselves as being leaders in innovation and matchday activation. Our brief to the BLK team was to design a jersey that best represents our rich KZN culture and our proud history. At the same time we wanted a modern and edgy look.'

    The home and away jersey retains the traditional black and white colours, while a cherry coloured jersey will be used for specific away games.

    The jerseys will be available at the Shark Cage shop and all major retailers from Friday.
