The Sharks have reportedly snapped up a key member of Jake White’s coaching staff at the Vodacom Bulls during the Vodacom United Rugby Championship.
According to Sport24, the Sharks have signed highly rated defence coach Joey Mongalo from the Bulls.
It is understood he will fulfil a pivotal role at the Durban outfit under incoming director of rugby Neil Powell, as part of a widespread overhaul of the management structure.
Mongalo joined the Bulls after White took up the role as director of rugby in Pretoria, and was part of his team for the past two years, which culminated in a loss in the inaugural URC final.
The Sharks are also set to announce the addition of former France hooker Yannick Bru.
Bru, who was capped 18 times for Les Bleus between 2001 and 2004 and featured prominently during his stint at Toulouse, served as forwards coach for five years with the France national team.
The 49-year-old also completed five years as Toulouse forwards coach, as well as four years at Bayonne.
