Wandisile Simelane will start at fullback as the Vodacom Bulls have made three positional and three personnel changes to the backline to face the Lions in Pretoria on Saturday.
Vodacom Bulls director of rugby Jake White has shaken things up from the side that went down to the DHL Stormers on 18 February.
Simelane, David Kriel and Cornal Hendricks retain their place in the starting lineup, but will play in different positions at Loftus Versfeld on Saturday. Simelane shifts from outside centre to fullback, Cornal Hendricks will wear the No 13 jersey and form the midfield combination with Kriel.
Meanwhile, wing Sibongile Novuka and Springboks Morne Steyn and Embrose Papier have all been called into the starting lineup. Sbu Nkosi is the only backline player who retains his position from the team that faced the Stormers.
There are a couple of further changes in the pack. WJ Steenkamp replaces Cyle Brink at blindside flank, while Dylan Smith gets a start at loosehead prop in place of Gerhard Steenekamp.
