Exeter Chiefs:
– In the round of 16, Sam Simmonds made 20 carries more than any other player. This equated to 91 metres – the most by any forward in the round – with two clean breaks.
– Both Jack Nowell and Sean O’Brien made 26 metres in contact last weekend, the highest total for a back and second-highest total overall.
– The Exeter Chiefs have averaged more metres in contact than any other team, 139.2 per 80 minutes. They have also averaged the second-most carries (134).
Stormers:
– Deon Fourie won four turnovers in the round of 16. Only Leicester’s Tommy Reffell and the Ospreys’ Ethan Roots made as many last weekend. Fourie’s season total is now a tournament-high 12.
– Manie Libbok made four kicks which were retained at the weekend, the joint-most achieved by a flyhalf in the tournament this season.
