The DHL Stormers are reportedly set to bolster their pack with the return of a former Cape-born bruiser, while weighing up a move for a World Cup-winning Springbok.
According to a report on Netwerk24, lock JD Schickerling is close to rejoining the Stormers from Japanese club Kobelco Kobe Steelers.
The 28-year-old is expected to fill the void left by Marvin Orie, providing experienced depth in the second row.

It is understood that despite the strong partnership of Ruben van Heerden and Adre Smith, head coach John Dobson seeks an additional seasoned No 5 lock.
Netwerk24 also reports that the Stormers are interested in Bok centre Andre Esterhuizen, yet financial constraints may impede their pursuit, with the Sharks potentially having the means to lure the 29-year-old back to Durban from Harlequins.
