The DHL Stormers will be without a key member of the pack for the Vodacom United Rugby Championship clash against the Vodacom Bulls on Saturday.
Already missing veteran Springbok tighthead Frans Malherbe to a back injury, the Stormers have suffered another big blow ahead of the clash in Cape Town.
JAKE WHITE: The tide will turn
According to Netwerk24, the Stormers will face the Bulls without Springbok No 8 Evan Roos.
The Springbok eighthman reportedly suffered a jaw injury in the Champions Cup win over La Rochelle last Saturday.
Roos’ carrying and breakdown threat will be missed by the Stormers, especially as the Bulls will be travelling down with their own hotshot No 8 in Cameron Hanekom.
The Stormers will have a decision to make between promoting Marcell Theunissen from the bench or shifting Hacjivah Dayimani from blindside flank.
John Dobson could also spring a surprise by naming youngster Keke Morabe at No 8, after his impressive performance in the Champions Cup match against Leicester Tigers in England.
