• Ten moments that mattered

The key moments from the Vodacom Super Rugby match between the Bulls and Sharks at Loftus, according to SIMON BORCHARDT.

7th minute – Pat Lambie hurts his arm while trying to tackle Jan Serfontein and is replaced by Tim Swiel.

8th minute – With Frans Steyn's penalty attempt having gone well wide, Jacques-Louis Potgieter's 22m dropout is collected by JP Pietersen just inside the Sharks half. Cobus Reinach darts away from the ruck and takes play to just outside the Bulls 22 before passing in the tackle to S'bura Sithole, who is brought down just short of the line. Reinach looks to his right but opts to go left to Ryan Kankowski, whose pass in the tackle puts Willem Alberts over for a converted try.

22nd minute – Having got the Bulls on the board with a penalty, Potgieter kicks a drop goal.

32nd minute – After a 60m touch kick from Francois Hougaard, Paul Willemse steals the Sharks lineout ball and the Bulls attack to the left. But Jürgen Visser is unable to take Hougaard's pass two phases later and the Sharks are able to clear.

40th minute – Steyn kicks his second long-range penalty in the space of three minutes to put the Sharks 13-6 up.

48th minute – Jacques du Plessis receives possession from a ruck, just outside the Sharks 22, and brushes off Beast Mtawarira and Bismarck du Plessis before scoring a converted try that levels the scores.

54th minute –  Bjorn Basson breaks through the Sharks defence and takes play well into their 22. After a couple of attempts by the Bulls forwards to get over the line, the ball goes wide to Potgieter whose long pass sees JJ Engelbrecht stroll over in the corner.

70th minute – Steyn kicks another long-range penalty, having slotted one three minutes earlier, to reduce the defict to one.

74th minute – Steyn goes for a drop goal and the ball goes just wide.

78th minute – Handré Pollard, having just come on to the field for the injured Potgieter, kicks a penalty that means the Sharks have to score a try to win.
