Fetcher James Venter takes over the captaincy and Lionel Cronje starts at flyhalf in a rotated Sharks Currie Cup team to face the Cheetahs in Bloemfontein on Friday.
Sharks Currie Cup head coach Joey Mongalo has made a number of changes to his side in this final game of the first round – most of them rotational.
TEAM: Cheetahs switch playmakers for Sharks duel
Loose forward Venter takes the captaincy from Reniel Hugo, as the experienced lock has been rested, with Ockie Barnard shifting into the second row.
Amongst the backs, Lionel Cronje starts for Fred Zeilinga at flyhalf while Marnus Potgieter comes onto the wing and Yaw Penxe takes over from Phikolomzi Sobahle who, like Murray Koster, gets a breather this week, playing off the bench.
Former Pumas centre Alwayno Visagie comes in for Koster at centre in the final change to the starting XV.
