Veteran winger Alex Cuthbert is one of two Wales reinforcements cleared fit for a World Cup warm-up match against the Springboks in Cardiff on Saturday.
Cuthbert has been a popular choice for head coach Warren Gatland, yet the 33-year-old is in a race to make the final 33-man World Cup squad.
Powerful centre Johnny Williams is also nursing his way back, and both backs missed successive clashes for the Welsh Dragons against England, but are now in contention to feature against the world champions at the Principality Stadium.
Speaking in the build-up to this weekend’s clash, Wales attack coach Alex King told media: “Cuthy is back in training which is great, as is Johnny Williams. You might lose a couple but then you get a couple back.
“It’s about building the depth of this squad so when we do go to France we have a deep and experienced squad who have been part of it over the past 13 weeks.”

Meanwhile, Wales are waiting to see if loose forward Taine Basham will be available to face the Boks after taking a controversial hit from England skipper Owen Farrell last weekend.
The Dragons are also sweating over the availability of hooker Dewi Lake (knee) and flanker Taine Plumtree (shoulder).
“In these [warm-up] games you are damned if you do and damned if you don’t,” King said. “You need to be battle hardened going into the World Cup.
“Unfortunately injuries do happen. The two guys from the weekend [Lake and Plumtree] are being assessed.
“We will know more when we get the reports but fingers crossed they aren’t too bad.”
