The Wallabies camp has been rocked by the resignation of a key coach from Eddie Jones’ staff on the eve of Australia’s departure for the World Cup.
Australia are set to depart for the World Cup on Thursday, ahead of their final warm-up clash against France before the tournament gets underway in September.
However, Australian media reported that a Wallabies confirmed attack coach Brad Davis would not be travelling with the team to the World Cup, due to personal matters.
Davis has only been in his role for four months, having been recruited by Eddie Jones in May from London Irish, where he served as defence coach.
With former London Irish head coach Les Kiss joining the Reds, Davis has been linked as the new defence coach for the Super Rugby side.
Jones is now scrambling to hire a new attack coach, less than a month before the Wallabies begin their World Cup campaign against Georgia on 9 September.
