A rapid winger beating his man to round off a try-scoring opportunity is a sight to behold! In this search for rugby’s ultimate finisher, Chris Ashton and Shane Williams are ready to go full speed.
A former England international, 35-year-old Ashton was a deadly finisher who represented seven clubs in a decorated career, including Northampton, Saracens, Sale, Toulon and Leicester Tigers.
Ashton had blistering pace and a keen eye for the try line. He scored 20 tries for England in 44 appearances and is the English Premiership’s all-time top try-scorer with 98 five-pointers.

Ashton did not slow down during his time with Toulon in the 2017-18 Top 14, crossing the whitewash an incredible 24 times in 23 games for the French giants.
What he lacked in size he makes up for in speed, Shane Williams is the world’s fourth most prolific try-scorer and Wales’ all-time top try-scorer.
The 2008 IRB Player of the Year, Williams scored an astounding 58 tries in 87 Tests and bagged two tries in four Tests for the British and Irish Lions.
The winger also boasts an impressive record when it comes to World Cups, scoring 10 tries in 11 appearances across three tournaments (2003, 2007 and 2011).
