Former Bok and Bulls coach Heyneke Meyer has emerged as the favourite to take over as director of rugby at Bristol.
On Wednesday Bristol suspended the services of Andy Robinson less than six months after he signed a three-year contract.
Mark Tainton, Bristol's kicking guru, has been appointed as the interim head coach, but according to The Telegraph the club has identified Meyer as Robinson's successor.
While Meyer is the front-runner for the job, former Sharks director of rugby Gary Gold has also been added to a shortlist of candidates.
