The Vodacom Bulls announced a second signing in quick succession on Thursday with the capture of a Sharks front-ranker to further strengthen their pack.
Tighthead prop Khutha Mchunu was confirmed as the Bulls’ latest signing as the Pretoria side looks to bolster their squad after a disappointing quarter-final exit in the Vodacom United Rugby Championship last season.

The 25-year-old will arrive at Loftus Versfeld following a breakthrough two-and-a-half years with the Sharks, where he started his career in 2018.
Mchunu also spent a season on loan with the Cheetahs between 2020 and 2021, but the former Glenwood High pupil is looking for a change in scenery following the arrival of Springbok tighthead Vincent Koch at the Sharks.
Mornay Smith has been the go-to tighthead prop for the Vodacom Bulls over the past two seasons, but will face more competition for his starting spot next season, with Wilco Louw having also joined from Harlequins.
Mchunu’s signing follows hot on the heels on conformation that the Vodacom Bulls had also signed Scotland-capped flyhalf Jaco van der Walt.
