Tournament debutants Donovan Don, Ethan James and Sebastiaan Jobb all got on the scoresheet as the Blitzboks outplayed the USA to progress to the fifth place final of the Hong Kong Sevens on Sunday.
The Springbok Sevens side rebounded from their narrow cup quarter-final defeat to Fiji by putting seven tries past the USA to claim a 38-7 victory in the fifth-place semi-finals.
It was a particularly special match for the tournament debutants, as Don, James and Jobb all crossed the whitewash in the second half. It was a second series try for Don, while James and Jobb both got their first Sevens Series tries.

This came after the Blitzboks held a 12-7 lead at half time, thanks to a brace from forward Christie Grobbelaar. South Africa turned on the style in the second half, as some iron defence forced the USA into errors, which ruthlessly punished.
The Springbok Sevens will face Argentina in the fifth-place final at 11.55am on Sunday.
