Kearsney were the only host school to win on the second day of the annual Easter Rugby Festivals, after KES lost out to Paarl Boys’ High on Saturday.
Kearsney claimed their first win this year at their annual event, beating EG Jansen 17-12 on a day that saw Westville hand English school Hartpury a 14-9 reverse.
In Gauteng, hosts KES made Paarl Boys’ High work for a 10-8 victory, while St John’s were held to a 20-20 draw by Graeme College.
St Stithian’s went down 36-17 against Kingswood, and Bishops claimed a narrow 31-30 win against Helpmekaar.
The action is set to resume on Monday, the final day of the Easter Rugby Festivals.
