The Namibia Rugby Union have confirmed the appointment of former England and Springbok forwards coach Matthew Proudfoot, ahead of the Rugby World Cup in France.

He was part of the 2019 World Cup-winning Bok management team before moving to England as scrum coach under Eddie Jones.
Proudfoot, who represented Scotland four times between 1998 and 2003, left his post with the Roses in January.
He was recently shown the door as head coach of Maties, after guiding the team to a semi-final place in the 2023 Varsity Cup but won just four out of seven fixtures in his one and only season in charge.
