Rassie Erasmus denying rumours he is Twitter commentator “Jaco Johan” goes up against Nick Cummins’ comical story of how he became the “Honey Badger” in the first round of the quest to find rugby’s funniest interview.
In the midst of an almighty battle with the British & Irish Lions, a Twitter account by the name of “Jaco Johan” started trending after analysing incidents missed by the match officials during the tour of South Africa.
Eerily similar to the videos Erasmus made himself, the clips sparked questions as to who actually owned the account, and of course fingers were pointed at the Springbok coach. How did he respond to the allegations? In the most Rassie way possible.

From “as tough as woodpecker’s lips” to “sweating like a bag of cats at a greyhound meet”, Australia’s Nick “the Honey Badger” Cummins provided the rugby world with some of the strangest and funniest interviews of all time.
The winger’s on-camera antics secured him various roles in different ad campaigns in Australia, from being the ambassador for Tradies underwear and workwear since 2015, to featuring in TV campaigns for Head and Shoulders in 2014 and beer company Iron Jack in 2017. In addition, he was the ambassador for Tourism Australia in 2017 and is also the presenter of the National Geographic program Meanwhile In Australia.
