    Gelant back to face Rebels

    Warrick Gelant scores Warrick Gelant
    Published on May 15, 2019 | Leave a response

Warrick Gelant has recovered from illness and will start for the Vodacom Bulls against the Rebels in Melbourne on Friday.

Gelant was a late withdrawal from the team that lost heavily to the Crusaders after pulling out hours before kick-off due to bronchitis. However, he will take his place at fullback in one of three changes to the starting lineup.

A further two changes come in the loose trio as Hanro Liebenberg, who also missed the Crusaders match, and Paul Schoeman both start.

Liebenberg takes over from Jannes Kirsten on the blindside, while Schoeman replaces openside flank Marco van Staden, who drops to the bench.

Bulls – 15 Warrick Gelant, 14 Cornal Hendricks, 13 Johnny Kotze, 12 Burger Odendaal, 11 Rosko Specman, 10 Handré Pollard (c), 9 André Warner, 8 Duane Vermeulen, 7 Hanro Liebenberg, 6 Paul Schoeman,  5 RG Snyman, 4 Jason Jenkins, 3 Trevor Nyakane, 2 Schalk Brits, 1 Lizo Gqoboka.
Subs: 16 Jaco Visagie, 17 Simphiwe Matanzima, 18 Wiehahn Herbst, 19 Jannes Kirsten, 20 Marco van Staden,  21 Embrose Papier, 22 Manie Libbok, 23 Divan Rossouw.
