Sbu Nkosi has vowed to “be back soon to make up for lost time” in a positive update over his mental health on Wednesday.
Reported as a missing person by the Vodacom Bulls after failing to reach him for three weeks, Nkosi explained that mental health battles led to his decision to drop off the radar and return to his father’s house in Emalahleni.
The winger has since been recovering with his family and, in an update on his social media page, said he was driven to prove his supporters right as he targets a comeback to rugby “soon”.
“I’m only concerned about proving my supporters right, positivity, about generational wealth, physical and mental health alongside the social welfare of my people as a whole,” Nkosi posted.
“Anything outside those parameters is unappreciated. I’d like to thank you everyone that extended a hand and a prayer. I’d like to thank my team for their support in every way and a special thanks to Edgar [Rathbone, Bulls CEO].
“Thank you to my people. I’m working hard and I’ll be back soon to make up for lost time in a crazy way. Much love.”
