RG Snyman is reportedly leaving Munster at the end of the 2023-24 Vodacom URC season, which SA team should he sign for?
Since joining Munster in 2020 in the aftermath of the Springboks’ success at the 2019 World Cup, Snyman has been plagued by a string of injuries, the most recent of which he suffered during the 2023 World Cup final against the All Blacks.
The 28-year-old, who previously represented the Vodacom Bulls and Honda Heat in Japan, is a crucial member of the infamous Bomb Squad and played a key role in the Boks’ World Cup victories in 2019 and 2023.

The Stormers, who are awaiting a cash injection following their equity deal with Red Disa Investments, have a host of locks at their disposal, but none match the calibre of Snyman, making the Munster man a tantalising target given their financial boost.
The Bulls are building a head of steam as their transformation continues under the watchful eye of coach Jake White, and a marquee signing like Snyman could be the perfect addition to slot in alongside captain Ruan Nortje.
The Sharks splurged a substantial amount of money in building a superstar team laden with Boks, and could very well consider doling out the extra cash to field a formidable duo of Snyman and Eben Etzebeth.

The Lions announced the re-signing of 19 players on Tuesday, and given their lack of financial backing, a move to Johannesburg is highly unlikely for Snyman as coach Ivan van Rooyen will have to settle on using the current mix of players.
