Shane Williams made it two from two after tiptoeing past All Blacks legend Doug Howlett in the search for rugby’s top finisher.
After smashing England’s Chris Ashton in the first round of this series, Williams had a much tougher assignment in going up against New Zealand’s Howlett.
Howlett charged to an early, marginal lead that he held until Wednesday evening before Williams clawed his way back into the fight to go in front. With the lead in hand, Williams stayed on top overnight to claim a narrow 4% victory on Thursday morning.

A former Highlanders, Hurricanes, Blues and Munster player, Howlett was blessed with raw pace that he used to skin opponents on his way to the tryline.
He is the All Blacks’ all-time leading try-scorer with 49 tries in 62 appearances, boasting an average of 0.79 tries per game.
But the New Zealand speedster’s exploits were not enough to haul in the mercurial Welshman.
The Wales and Ospreys all-time top try-scorer, Williams scored 58 tries for country and 57 tries for club and bagged two tries for the British and Irish Lions.
