Grant Gilchrist will captain of a new-look Scotland lineup to face Romania in their World Cup Pool B clash in Lille on Saturday.
He takes charge of a team that undergoes 13 changes from last week’s victory over Tonga. The forward pack is entirely overhauled, with Gilchrist partnering with Sam Skinner in the second row.
Hamish Watson and Luke Crosbie make their tournament debuts in the back row, alongside Matt Fagerson. Javan Sebastian earns his World Cup debut as tighthead prop, joined by Jamie Bhatti and Ewan Ashman in the front row.
In the backs, Ben Healy gets his first tournament appearance at No 10, while Chris Harris and Cameron Redpath form the centre pairing.

The remaining substitutes were all involved against Tonga, with Rory Sutherland and WP Nel, as well as Scott Cummings and Rory Darge, rounding off the Scots’ forward options from the bench.
George Horne, Blair Kinghorn, and Huw Jones complete the match-day 23.
