Jaden Hendrikse rotates into the No 9 jersey in one of only two changes to the Sharks’ starting lineup for the Challenge Cup match against Dragons in Newport on Sunday.
The Sharks travel to Wales for the final round of the pool stages in this year’s Challenge Cup to take on Dragons at Rodney Parade in Newport on Sunday evening.
A win in this match will allow the Sharks to remain top of their pool and with that, home-ground advantage in the playoff rounds.
Director of Rugby Neil Powell has largely stuck with the same Sharks team that claimed a bonus-point win over Oyonnax in the third round last weekend, ending the three-match losing streak in the process.
The only changes to the starting XV see flankers James Venter and Tino Mavesere swapping jerseys, in the one change to the forwards, with scrumhalves Jaden Hendrikse and Grant Williams doing the same in the backline.
A new-look bench sees Eben Etzebeth rested for the match after playing as a substitute against Oyonnax. Hooker Dan Jooste, tighthead prop Coenie Oosthuizen, flyhalf Lionel Cronje and centre Rohan Janse van Rensburg are all recalled after missing last week’s match.
