The DHL Stormers have reached an agreement with veteran midfielder Ruhan Nel to put pen to paper on a new contract and extend his stay in Cape Town.
It was confirmed on Friday that Nel has signed on with the Stormers until 2026.

The 32-year-old outside centre, who made his Stormers debut in 2019, has been a crucial part of the side that earned back-to-back Vodacom United Rugby Championship home finals, winning one.
Nel’s superb form has seen him touted for a call to the Springboks, but despite being part of the squad for the first time in 2018, he has yet to make his Test debut.
“I think coach Jacques and Rassie identified the guys who are there a long time ago,” Nel was quoted by Netwerk24.
“A lot of people talk about the season that Doepie (Dan du Plessis) and I had and we are grateful for that, but we are patient. If it is destined, it will happen.
“At this stage, all you can do is get behind the men who will wear the green and gold and hope that they bring home the World Cup.”
