Have a look at this bizarre incident that took place in a second-division game in France between Vannes and Soyaux Angoulême.
After requesting a shot at goal, Vannes flyhalf Christopher Hilsenbeck quickly takes the kick but instead directs it across field, where the ball is grounded in the corner by one of his teammates.
The referee strangely awards the try at first but after protests from the Soyaux players, changes his mind and disallows the try.

Hilsenbeck pide palos, pero se hace el vivo y en lugar de patear asiste a Popelin para el try
