Munster have welcomed back a host of their World Cup internationals, but have confirmed that Springbok lock RG Snyman will need to go under the knife.
The defending Vodacom URC champions on Monday confirmed that Tadhg Beirne, Dave Kilcoyne, Jeremy Loughman, Conor Murray and Peter O’Mahony have returned to training following their World Cup involvement with Ireland.

However, there was less positive news on Snyman, as Munster said in Monday’s statement that the two-time World Cup winner suffered a chest injury in the final against New Zealand and will undergo surgery in South Africa this week.
Snyman’s injury will rule him out of Friday’s derby against Ulster, as well as the URC final rematch against the Stormers in Limerick next weekend.
The giant second rower made a timely return from successive knee ligament injuries in March, helping Munster go on an incredible run of away wins, which included two victories over the Stormers in Cape Town.
